Independence For Texas
The Alamo, Battle fought by Taxes and Mexico. Its urgency was paramount, because while it was being prepared, the Alamo in San Antonio was under seige by Santa Anna's army of Mexico.
The United States Grows Larger
USA thought they should own all the land from the west cost to the east cost. Manifest Destiny, the expansion of the United States across the North American continent which the belief inspired or was used to justify.
On To Oregon and California
Oregon Trails, people traveled by wagons. one of the main overland migration routes on the North American continent.
The Southern States Leave
Southern states leave the United States are form the confederate States of America. Southerners felt if they stayed in the United States, the North would control them.
The Civil War
This conflict is begun between Northern States and Southern States. Hostilities began on April 12, 1861, when Confederate forces attacked a U.S. military installation at Fort Sumter in South Carolina.
